Our common home / the environment

Facilitator:  Jane E. Giordano; socialjustice@newroadscatholic.org

Mission: This group was formed for the express purpose of studying Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si and helping to educate others on the dire need for immediate action to protect our earth and each of its inhabitants.  We have visited a number of sites for educational purposes: an organic garden at a home, a permaculture garden at a Montessori school and the Citizen Scientists Group at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
Presently this group is preparing a group presentation on the environmental impact on one of our treasured resources - WATER.

Meetings:  We meet twice monthly on Friday mornings
11:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. to continue outreach and education. Not currently meeting during the pandemic.
