Adult Discipleship ministries
Social Justice Ministry
The Social Justice Ministry is a group of committed New Roads members working for peace and justice for all in our parishes and wider community. Please check out our Web page to see what we're currently working on! To get involved, please email Suzanne Nocella.
St. Luke's St. Vincent de Paul Society
This society assists people in need in the parish and the community through the provision of food vouchers, utility and rent assistance, and vouchers for filling prescriptions. The St. Vincent de Paul Society meets the first Sunday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in St. Luke's lower church. Please visit our Web page to learn more about us! To get involved, call Cathy Sclafani (617-484-1996, ext. 2) or simply come to a meeting.
Scripture Reflection
Whether you know nothing about the Bible or you're a Bible scholar, our weekly drop-in Scripture Reflection series is the place to be! Join us for prayer and reflection in a very relaxed, welcoming, small-group environment. We meet Sundays at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Joseph parish library. (We do not meet on the night before a Monday holiday.) Sign up to facilitate Scripture Reflection. Contact [email protected] with any questions.
Small-Group Leaders
Small-group faith sharing is a key component of growing as a disciple. Our small groups are safe places to grow, learn, share, and support one another. Small-group leaders facilitate conversation, provide care and encouragement, promote healthy relationships, and strengthen our whole community. If you are interested in serving as a small-group leader, please contact Kathy O'Leary, creative director.
